Understanding Early Digital Behaviors of Gen Alpha in India

The project explored how children in India entered digital spaces long before developing the literacy to navigate them responsibly. Through design research, the study uncovered how curiosity, imitation, and parental guidance together fostered patterns of risky online behavior and low awareness of digital permanence.

Approach

Mixed-methods research combining interviews, netnography, and surveys to map online habits and digital literacy.

Output

Digital safety ecosystem involving key stakeholders, consisting of a digital safety app and child safety audit framework.
